Separation Agreements

family solicitor

A divorce is not the only option. Often people are not ready for a divorce or there might be religious reasons for not proceeding with one.

It is possible to obtain a decree of judicial separation agreement from the court and through this resolves some of the financial issues. The parties will still remain married but legally separated.

Alternatively, a person might prefer to wait for two years before starting divorce proceedings. A formal Deed of Separation can be prepared to record the financial settlement.
